Capital Bus was founded in 1976, and its primary base is in Sanchong District (三重區). It serves all districts of Taipei City, as well as many districts in New Taipei City, parts of Keelung City and even in Yilan County. Capital Bus owns Taipei Bus and Taichung Bus.
