8917-8919 (ex-Translink #s 4150, 4154, 4160) were initially acquired in late 2006 for use on the Squamish-Whistler commuter service. The remaining buses were acquired in the summer of 2007 initially for use in Victoria as a stop-gap measure to compensate for a September bus shortage caused by a delay in the delivery of new buses. When the new buses were delivered, the ex-Translink MCI Classics were relegated to BC Transit's contingency fleet and ended up scattered throughout the province.
